Sam is our first
Mastiff and the reason we love this breed so very much. Sam is
out of Lakeside Mastiffs, and was breed by Deb and Kerry
Wuetherich. He is the most loyal and loving dog a man could
ask to have for his family. He never ceases to amaze us in
terms of his intelligence, sensitivity, and innate ability to
just have a feeling for what is going on and how to react to
it. Sam will be four this summer and he just loves to hangout
with his “Dad.” Sam shares different roles and
relationships with everyone else in the family too. He knows
to go to “Mom” at the end of supper to see if there might
be anything left for him to help finish eating. He knows that
Alex is always ready to snuggle and use him as a huge pillow
while watching television. He knows to go to Rachel if he just
wants to hug, which for him means that he places his head deep
into her lap and gets his ears scratched, or if he wants his
paws rubbed. And he knows to sneak a peek at Sarah if he wants
to lick that super soft skin only babies seem to possess. Sam
likes to go to dog shows, dog classes, off-leash dog parks,
and visits to Alex and Rachel’s schools. Sam is the family
greeter. He is always the first to the door to meet people and
he always greets folks with a shoe in his mouth as a present.
When you come you will undoubtedly be first greeted by
Sam and one of our shoes.
